Yeah, I know.
There has been a gazillion posts on using social media for the cause of the local church. It's almost becoming passé.
But. (There's always a but isn't there?)
Have you every wondered, like me, how do I mobilise the online fans at my church's Facebook page on how to use social media effectively for the gospel?
Today I came across this really interesting page on the Saddleback website which may help.
Saddleback has a page with video's galore dedicated to training their congregation on how to use social media to invite their friends to church.
What do you think?
Can you train people and mobilise them to invite people through social media?
Or is the whole training for mobilisation idea too complicated?

Steve, thanks for pointing this out. It's a great idea. I see the videos below that a person can share as a way of inviting people to Saddleback, but I'm not seeing anything that really trains Saddleback people on how to use social media to invite people. The main video says these are on the right, but i don't see anything on the right side of the page like that. Do you?

Hey Paul,
click on the buttons on the left hand side of the video, it plays different videos that talk about inviting.

Steve,
Thank you very much for your story on social media at Saddleback Church. We actually have a ministry that helps others get started on sites like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
Hope to stay connected!
Sincerely,
Alex Murashko
